Five movies that you must watch*

 

I thought to share some gorgeous movies which are not much famous but you must watch. They are some movies which were able to remain in my heart forever. 

 _1.Aamis_ 

This movie is woven around a little bit disgusting theme which is related to carnivores. This movie mainly flows through a strange relationship between a married middle-aged lady doctor and another young guy. Maybe you have watched this movie because it made a little agitation in Sri Lanka too. I invite the others to watch this but I should say this movie will be little bit difficult to watch for the sensitive people. 




 _2. village rockstars_ 

This film was able to represent India in the best international language movie in 91st Academy Awarding Ceremony and also it was able to  become the best movie in 65th Indian state Award ceremony. Do we need any other reasons to watch this movie? A story about a dream of a girl and her friends who live in rural village becomes the theme of this movie. This movie can be introduced as a great creation which is made with beauty and pain.



_Jatuka Pator Dore_

This movie which is directed by Jadumoni Datta is based on a story of an orphan child, Radha who was grown up with her childhood friend Rajath. This movie is woven around the conflict between them and a rich man in the village. This also can be introduved as a must watch movie.


_Ishu_

This movie is also a slightly different kind of movie. The main character in the film is Isu. Her favorite aunt is Ambika. So, this story which is based on these two characters brings to our notice the superstitious beliefs that exist among certain communities and the implications that come with it. So you will definitely get a slightly different taste from this movie.


_Kothanodi _

This film is directed by the same director as the Aamis we talked about above. The film revolves around a woman who follows a nutcracker, a mother who tries to save her newborns from death, a stepmother who abuses her husband's daughter and a mother who marries her daughter to a python. The director has managed to convey the disgust of Aamis in a different way, though not in the same way.

I read Maxine Gorky's mother.

Maxim Gorky's mother read it a long time ago. The Russian Revolution and the Love of the Mother Russian Mother was not the best book for me but a good book. I read the story of our mothers carrying the burden of the earth in Upul Shantha Sannasgala's book Amma. Sannasgala's mother in the Haputale underworld is closer to me than Gorky's Russian mother. Moms are all the same. It is not the mother but the number who sacrifices their life for another without expecting anything in return. As Maxim Gorky once said, this world exists "because of mother's milk and the sun's."Because a mother dedicates her whole life and wholeheartedly without expecting anything in return for the life she gave life to but does not inherit her name.
